Chau McGovern, DDS
Hello! My name is Dr. Chau McGovern. I grew up in South Florida and attended college here at Nova Southeastern University. I moved to the Midwest to pursue my Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Indiana University, completing my degree in 2016. After that, I relocated back home to be near my family and practiced as an associate for 3 years until I finally decided to follow my heart and specialize in Pediatric Dentistry! I completed my 2 year residency training at Nova Southeastern University (yes, that makes me a double NSU Shark!) then my board certification shortly after. Now on my spare time, I spend time with my family taking walks around the neighborhood and finding our next foodie adventure! I also enjoy photography and trying my hand at DIY projects.
I consider my career in pediatric dentistry truly rewarding, and I thrive on the moments where I see that I have made a positive impact on my patient’s (or even their parent’s) day. Whether it be an esthetic impact, such as repairing a broken tooth due to trauma and seeing the patient’s reaction when looking at the treated tooth in the mirror, or an emotional impact, such as a patient who has struggled with dental visits finally having a great visit. Every single smile, thank you, high five, hug, or successful visit brings joy to me and reminds me why I practice pediatric dentistry. I would be honored to be chosen as your child’s dentist.
